9th annual Ultzama Campus (WORKSHOP)
The ninth annual Ultzama Campus was held from June 23 to 29, 2025, bringing together twenty international architecture students for an intensive design workshop organized by the Architecture and Society Foundation and sponsored by Nasuvinsa. Participants developed proposals for social housing across three distinct sites in Navarre: Barañáin, Arrosadia, and Sarriguren. Architects Andrea Deplazes, Patxi Mangado and Carlos Jiménez were asked to give lectures and support students during the workshop. The workshop integrated studio-based design work with public forums addressing themes of ecology, sustainability, urban density, and cost-effective construction. The program concluded with formal presentations of the student proposals and a concluding discussion focused on reimagining the future of social housing in the region of Navarre.
