Carlos was invited as a guest critic for the final review of Center for Portuguese Culture, Oporto Portugal at School of Architecture, The University of Texas at Austin. The panel of critics included Francisca Aroso, Michael Benedikt, Coleman Coker, Scott Colman, Nick Gelpi, Aleks Jaeschke, Carlos Jiménez and Wataru Shinji. Center for Portuguese Culture, an advanced studio, is taught by Kevin Alter.
